December fishing has stayed hot. With Sheepshead beginning to migrate in our neashore ledges and pass docks have been holding keeper size sheepsheads. 1/0 hooks and small split shot weights have been the go to rig on docks. 3/4 oz lead and 1/0 hooks for ledges. Shrimp broken in half have been working well.
Snook & Redfish have also been chewing well. Snook have been favoring the pilchards while redfish have been keyed in on shrimp & pinfish.
Trout bite has also been producing alot of fish in the 15-18' range with some quality fish in the 20'+ mixed in. 1/4 or 3/8 oz. jighead paired with a paddletail style bait have been working great. Steady retrieve with occasional split second pause. Cant go wrong with a shrimp on a popping cork as well.
