With the first cold fronts arriving and water temperatures cooling a bit fish are feeding well and getting ready for the end of fall. The beach and passes are loaded with bait making it an ideal feeding situation for predator species. Tarpon, Mackerel, Bonita, Jacks, ladyfish and Bluefish have all been feeding on bait pods. Fishing these bait pods are a great option for the angler looking for constant action. 50 fish days are common when fishing these bait pods. Bigger predator sharks in the 6-8ft class have been hanging around as well if a shark has been on the bucket list. Redfish and snook bite remains great as well. Best bite has been on the outgoing tide fishing points with good flow. Pilchards and pinfish have been best option.
